14-DAY COVER

SKU A14don the list
SKU B3dhurts first
  1. B3 days of cover

Inclusive 14-day horizon. Soonest first, then SKU. C stays off the list because 40 days of cover is above the tape. This is the in-repo risk-list check, not a published retailer packet.

FIRST REAL RESULT

A replayed inventory-risk list with replenishment assumptions

Cover arithmetic · pack-rounded reorder · no purchase sent

Only SKUs with 14 or fewer days of cover appear, soonest first.

Average daily sales must be positive for cover and risk-list calculations. Reorder quantity is capped by remaining capacity.

  1. 01

StockMosaic validates every numeric input and requires positive sales for cover and risk-list calculations.

  2. 02

It computes available units and compares days of cover with the supplied lead time.

  3. 03

It rounds reorder shortfall to whole packs, caps it by capacity, and sorts qualifying SKU risks by cover then SKU.

Cover, stockout diagnosis, and a capacity-capped reorder.

STOCKOUT DIAGNOSIS

Available 50 units · 5 days of cover against a 7-day lead time.

stockout_before_replenishmentOn hand 45 + inbound due 10 − reserved 5, at 10 average daily sales. Non-positive average daily sales is refused.
REORDER QUANTITY

Pack-rounded shortfall 120, then capped by remaining capacity 100.

100 unitsTarget 21 days × 8 daily sales, net of on hand 40, inbound 24, reserved 8, pack size 12.
RISK LIST

The mosaic is built from the numbers you supply.

Inputs cover stock, reservations, inbound units, average daily sales, lead time, target cover, pack size, and capacity.

  • 01

On-hand, reserved, and inbound units for each SKU

  • 02

Average daily sales and supplier lead time in days

  • 03

Target cover days, pack size, and remaining warehouse capacity

  • 04

SKU rows for the inclusive 14-day risk list

A reorder record is not a purchase order.

Forecasts depend on sales history, lead-time quality, and stated assumptions.

Purchase orders remain proposals until a buyer approves them.

  • Forecasting a sales rate that was not supplied
  • Placing a purchase order or changing inventory
  • Producing a cover result from non-positive or invalid average daily sales

Questions

How is stockout risk decided?

Available units are on hand plus inbound due before lead time minus reserved units. Their days of cover are compared with the supplied lead-time days.

How is the reorder quantity calculated?

The target stock is target days times average daily sales. Current and inbound stock net of reservations is subtracted, the shortfall is rounded to packs, and capacity caps the result.

Which SKUs appear in the risk list?

Only supplied SKU rows with 14 or fewer days of cover appear. They are sorted by the lowest cover first, then by SKU.

Does the result create a purchase order?

No. The engine returns arithmetic and a risk list; purchase execution is outside this capability.
